Cores are obviously an important part of any re-manufacturers business. They should also be an important part of our distributors business. We would like to take this opportunity to answer some of the questions we receive from time to time concerning cores and core returns.
Q. How much time do I have to return my cores? A. The answers to this question depends on how the product was ordered. 1. For product purchased on a "Stock Order" you have 730 days (2 years) from the date of purchase. 2. For product ordered on an emergency or non-stock order basis you have 45 days from the date of purchase.
Q. What if I have stock that has been on the shelf for almost two years? A. You need to make a stock adjustment. BAB offers one annual stock adjustment in any dollar amount to all master distributors that have been distributors for over 18 months.
Q. Is there an easy way to determine how long a unit has been on my shelf? A. Yes. Each unit and every box has the julian date marked on it. This 4 digit number (250-9) means this unit was purchased on the 250 day of 1999. Check the 4th digit and request to return product purchased in 1997.
